Ok, this has been bothering me. I've been hearing rumors about new characters replacing/overshadowing the Mane cast in S2 or something like that. Where'd this talk start, and is there any proof to this?

I think it originated from that post Fallen Legend linked to. Someone tweeted about casting new ponies, which I guess some people are reading to much into. I just assumed it meant casting for characters like Trixie who only appear in one episode, not replacements for the ponies we already have.

I think it says a lot about the show when one of the biggest draws for it is the music and songs. I am seriously looking forward to hearing what they have in store.

Is the Hub's other programming as good as Friendship is Magic?

For the most part, no.

To break it down:

G.I. Joe Renegages - I got bored after two episodes.
Transformers Prime - After one episode.
Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures - is bearable. It's mostly So Bad, It's Good though.
Maryoku Yummy - Otherwise known as "children's introduction to LSD."
Pound Puppies - Ugh. Just ugh.

I never watched Dan Vs. That show just looks stupid.

I don't watch anything else on The Hub except for Dan Vs., which I like for some reason. It's pretty much the opposite of MLPFIM (a cynical jerk as the main character, mediocre Flash animation) but it's actually amusing.

Not that it holds a candle to ponies or anything.

There's "a fine line" between "There's" and "between".

I'm curious though: what's the Powdered Sugar thing from? The video made me think it was Transformers, but, uh... o_O

I mean, since there was a very large, Transformers esque robot with an autobot symbol on it's chest (or decepticon? Bleh, I forget).

EDIT: Also, I watched clips of Dan Vs. on Youtube, it was pretty good (no complete episodes though, gah, and the Hub itself doesn't work for me, hmm...)
