@50227: So very tempted to write that crossover, except that there's a distinct lack of evil adult ponies.
One of the nice things about having a pastel cast is that you get all the visual cues of different races without the unwanted implications and contrived P Cness. If you're going to map race onto the protagonists for the sake of making them all different, it should acknowledge their cultures and not be derived from personality stereotypes of races - Applejack and Pinkie Pie are particularly American-Caucasian in origin, for instance. By contrast, whatever Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash are should be based on whatever your internal visualization of Cloudsdale happens to be.
But personally, I can't picture them without the pastel. It's like picturing Adventure Time characters with elbows and knees.

Furthermore, I think Guantanamo must be destroyed.

Ladies and gents, it appears that these two caricatures of the fandom are true:
I don't want to set the world on fire, baby. I love you too much. I just want to start a big, big flame in your heart.

What if the friendship reports are secretly part of an anti-suicide campaign?
<original idea not mine, but still awesome>

@Owl: W-well, I have done some battlefield repairs on my pants when the seams decided to commit seppuku, learnt a little cross-stitch in school, and made crude mini-cushions with cloth scraps and some cotton. Granted, the last two happened was I was much younger.
Real men know how to fix their own damn pants.

The fandom in general. Bronies are cool. So are bowties. And fezzes.
You know, I started watching this show as a complete nihilist.
Looks like it got to me.
Ponies are the anti-suicide. And the anti-4-chan. No wonder those people can't stand bronies.

This show was the cure for the immense sadness I managed to trap in my essence (see also: my avatar).
He would totally make a Smooze-tier monster to ravage Ponyville.

How would you compare it to Madoka? How would an MLP episode written by Urobuchi be?

I thought the term "foal" only applied to REALLY young ponies, like the baby from "The Mysterious Mare Do Well" and this...thing.

I don't have any "MLP cured my depression" type story (if anything, Pinkie's made me even MORE stressed )
but hey, if I wasn't having fun then I wouldn't be here, would I? To me, the baby from TMMDW counts as "That thing" as well!

Are you going to the Ponyville Faire? Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme... Remember me to the one who lives there; For she was once a true love of mine.
I would continue, but given the repetition-based nature of folk songs (and that the second and fourth lines will almost always work unchanged), I don't see much point.
Comparing anything to Madoka is difficult. It's really heavily steeped in Japanese culture, so the outlook can be hard to pin down if you're not really familiar with it.

This show has made me less surly and more pleasent in real life. When I get annoyed (which happens every 15 minutes or so), just one thought of this show calms me right down again.
So much so, my family are starting to wonder why I'm always smiling and in a good mood these days.

Also, why do you think the greatest couturiers are men? (That's right, it's still privilege, but what I mean to say is that a male-dominated activity can't be unmanly, if there's ever been such a thing as unmanly).

To suppose my experiences have been too different, I may actually have too much exposure in comparison to normal people and I keep forgetting that . I mean forget living in two African (yes I call Egypt African, shut up) countries to five years and going to international schools, My experience in normql public schools in the US childhood friends have been white, Asian, and Filipino, throughout middle school my best trio of friends were aforementioned white guy and two other Asian guys, in high school it's been a whole menagerie with my two best artist friends being Arab guys. I literally cannot fathom a monochromatic group unless circumstances specifIcallu call for it( like living in Japan or Africa or something). It makes no sense to me, it's like ignoring that the world exists.

Are you implying that I should go out and FORCE myself to befriend a Hispanic, and a japanese person?
Heh, My group of friends DOES have a black in it though. (We, including him, jokingly refer to him as the "Token Black")

An old friend of mine is half-black, which is quite significant for me because Northern Ireland were I live is probably the whitest place in the western hemisphere.
My point is, it's never impossible to mix things up a bit.

Of course not ginger, that preposterous, I was merely describing where I was coming from becuase like I said; overexposure. I mean I don't have black friends, none, ever, no one. Things happen.

I had several friends from various cultures, a kid from Nigeria, one of the local Eurasians, a couple of Indian buddies, some Malay buddies, and a crush from New Zealand.
