Wow, still amazed by how fast this thread moves at times. Anyways, from a couple pages back:
Kyler: It's kind of and kind of not intentional. I'm trying to get a furry coat texture, but obviously the fuzziness isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I think I've got the short haired look down on the borders there, but since I ended up doing somewhat longer strokes for the rest of the details, it creates that weird contrast. And before this last one, they basically looked like Shetland ponies since I had longer fur all over them. I'm getting better at it, though, so hopefully it should become more subtle after a week or two.
Owl: I agree it's not based solely on personality, but like others have said, it's a big part. So yes, physical characteristics, but *Twilight Sparkle voice* I read somewhere that it works in the opposite direction as well. That is, being endeared someone's personality will also skew one's perceptions of that person's physical characteristics. */Twilight Sparkle* (hehe, I feel silly for doing that, but I'm in a goofy mood)
I have to agree with Ginger on the
Loss of Identity and all the associated
Fridge Horror we have going on with that discussion. I'm not petrified by the thought, but there is something unsettling about it when I stop to really consider the implications. Especially if it ends up not being reversible (the personality creep... well, actually the body swap not being reversible would suck too).
