Maybe it's because she grew up in Ponyville, whereas her parents grew up in...somewhere else.

It's their character that is all part of the appeal. The little things about them, like Twilight's adorkable little tics, Rarity's DRAMA, AJ's reliability, and Dashie's little girlish squees and blushes that really endear them to me :3

Well, Sweetie Belle's accent influences would've been her parents' Manesottan accents, Rarity's snobby voice, and the voices of the rest of Ponyville. Maybe her voice is an amalgam of all of them.

And here's two thoughts about Sea Ponies:

1. What about they are utterly dependent upon the water to survive. A SP completely out of water will survive for half an hour at best.

2. They can only talk under water. If they try to speak with their head out of the water, they just make unintelligible dolphin/whale noises.

As I've said before, the show doesn't need Voices Are Mental to do a body swap episode. They just need to switch cutie marks. It makes perfect sense!

That's even more rediculos than voices are mental!

So, Twilight Pie would be Pinkie with TS's CM and personality, but still possess her own voice?

With Twi Piecit would be a change in hairstyle, with Rarity and Applejack it would a shift in accents and with Rainbow Fly the changes would be a little obvious when Rainbow Dash is crouching on the ground and barely audible.

How so? It's a magical mark which identifies their destiny! Why wouldn't it travel with their mind?

Because they appear to be physically embedded in their bodies? If they are 100% magical and associated only with the mind of the pony with no physical aspect whatsoever you could be correct.

Which may just may make for an even more interesting idea, cutie mark swap accident where suddenly is proficient in magic, twilight has a sudden need to dash and say rainbow a lot, pinkie pie becomes attuned to animals, rainbow dash has a need to make thing, pretty, applejack wants to party and Fluttershy becomes a very weak apple bucker

That sounds even more terrifying than Cutie Pox. Hell, to me that's scarier than anything DISCORD ever did

I suspect the Mark is attuned to its bearer, not the other way around. It reflects a facet of the pony it represents. Mindswapping might not completely swap over Cutie Marks, but it might make subtle changes to the preexisting Marks.

Rarity in Dash's body might make the Mark change to reflect something like a Rainbow bolt striking a snowflake or diamond, for example.

Twilight Pie:

Twilight has to get used to having no unicorn magic, the occassinal Pinkie Sense attack, and a suddden huge craving for sweets and threats.

Appleity:

Applejack has to try applebucking and cart pulling in a weak unicorn body, with Rarity going nuts at her for the damage she's doing to her hoofs.

Rainbow Sparkle:

Going nuts with boredom whilst trapped in a weak and grounded bookworm unicorn body. Also, worried about losing control of her magic.

Raribow:

Generally enjoying the flying, and the rainbow mane. Now RD always dresses in style! Though, she's panicing at the damage AJ is doing to her hooves.

Flutterjack:

Same as always, but now she has a hat to hide under! Also, trying to get used to the large increase in strength, which leaves her tearing her house to bits.

Pinkie Shy:

Loves the ability to fly! Unfortunatly, she has forgotten that FS's body dosn't need such a huge intake of food, and massively blimps up as a result.

Oh god, I'm sorry. That just sounds like HONF of the absolute HIGHEST ORDER. (and I'm not scared by much)

You're trapped in an unfamiliar body, with an unfamiliar voice, and what's worse you're actually starting to FEEL like the person you're inside the body of, and have the uncontrollable urge to act like them. You'd slowly lose your own sense of self until you eventually start thinking YOU ARE that person.

That's the scariest thing I've ever heard

EDIT: Also, you're mixing up premises. This is if they somehow ended up swapping cutie marks.
