And yes. I've played with rocks. And it was my Zulu teacher (it's a Zulu game, after all) who taught me how (it's a HARD game!). Can't remember the name of the game though.

@Sereg: I think I might know what game you're talking about - I know of some traditional african game, at least(Yeah, a whole ocntinent, that narrows it down). Was it Mancala

I'd never heard of it until university. Played it to demonstrate the difference between strategy-based games(Like Chess, Mancala, Fox and Geese, etc.) vs. chance-based games(Like Snakes and Ladders and the like).
