The what now? Kay I know I'm new to the fanbase but what is "Pony Pox"? Is it like their version of chicken pox?

Ah, Snakes and Ladders. Such a convoluted, drawn-out way of drawing straws.
You begin to suspect that your bowl is a portal to the Meat Dimension.
Do the bard games include instruments, or do players have to provide their own?
Never was big on chutes and ladders. Too much luck, not enough skill.

You mean not
any skill.
Unless you introduce house rules or something.

@Sereg Well that it explains why Pinkie didn't come when I was depressed but opens another question that won't get an answer but okay cool. Or not cool in this case.
@Pinkie Tell me something, what exactly is it about parties that drives ya?

There's literally no skill involved. It's a 'game' designed to be played with little kids who don't know how to play a real game but still like winning.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
House Rules Parcheesi is still the best game ever.

Analogue games are actually really fun to design. They've got a lot less to deal with in terms of complexity, even a particularly complex game, so there's a lot more room to really focus on them and tweak everything a lot. Card games, too. I'm working on a card game to show off in my portfolio at the moment. Only trouble with card games is finding a way to reduce the randomness.
My only attempt at designing an analogue game to date was a disaster.

Hey speaking of analogue games, anyone ever played Resistance Avalon? I discovered it this summer and it's quite fun.

I'm working on developing a play by post fantasy RPG for the forums here right now. I've got pretty much all the macro worldbuilding done and a fair amount of micro, but I'm struggling more with developing the mechanics.

I think the hardest part is actually getting active players. Hopefully it will turn out better than Sereg's.
