I'd like to see an episode with just Fluttershy and Gilda. Some of Fluttershy's kindness would have to rub off on Gilda, wouldn't it? I can't imagine the writers not giving Gilda some kind of character development. She can't just stay a jerkass/bully forever.

No, development for Gilda would HAVE to come from RD. RD is aready Gilda's Morality Pet. I can see her becoming a makeshift Morality Chain for her as well.

Actually, I don't WANT Gilda to become good. She should become a neutral asshole who's willing to help out whenever RD's in trouble. From there she could develop

Has anyone ever thought about what the characters' future kids might be like? I remember that came up awhile ago (or at least the idea of Pinkie Pie being pregnant), at least a little bit. Some things I was thinking of:

Pinkie Pie would probably use Edible Theme Naming for her children.
It would be difficult for Rainbow Dash to have non-pegasus children or to even live with a non-pegasus unless they moved into a house on the ground. I just looked at the beginning of Party of One to check and Pinkie doesn't actually stand in Rainbow Dash's house. She's riding in a balloon at the front door. So it's still uncertain if a non-pegasus could even visit her house without a "walk on clouds" spell, much less live there with her.

She's aware of her limits. She KNEW she was no match for an Ursa Major, and even then I thought she displayed considerable bravery by at least TRYING to fight it

About Rainbow Dash, that's what I meant. She'd have to move to a house on the ground. Although that could be an interesting idea for her to have to deal with living with non-pegasi. I guess if she wanted to meet up with relatives from Cloudsdale in that situation, either they would have to visit her ground house or someone (Twilight?) would have to put that "cloud walking" spell on Rainbow's non-pegasi family members.

@Calnos: Since Cloudsdale is, well, a giant cloud, I don't think anypony could accurately say how far it is from Ponyville.
