Well, I do too. Jolly Jammers are an exception. But you don't leave me alone with biscuits (cookies, to the Americans) in general, so yeah.

Also, I see that the second Cadanceverse fic has began. We'll finally see what Cadance!Twilight and Trixie are like.

Here's why I ask. I'm having a lot of trouble coming up with magic for Unicorn Fancy Free...but if he was an Earth Pony with super strength I'd solve a lot of problems.

Plus the idea of an EP growing up in a unicorn family in a unicorn city could be really interesting to explore. It's like, no wonder he doesn't belong! He can't go to Celestia's school...feels inferior etc...except for the fact that he's an absolute tank.

The Cakes show it can happen. And that CM? What if he used a ship's wheel to pull off an amazing feat of strength? And a fighter like that is traditionally more suited to a story like this.

I headcanon there being a lot of magic schools in the big cities. Celestia's is just the most prestigious.

General fandom consensus is that most of the Canterlot elite is unicorns, a holdover of the pre-Equestrian days. I'd assume most of the upper-class earth ponies are "new money" as it were.

Maybe he could use something of a reverse levitation? He could make his limbs heavier at certain moments to increase power though with a side effect of consuming a good amount of energy.

Have we ever seen any "high class" Pegasi? I don't really remember seeing any at the usually "high class" stuff (save the Gala, but they were celebrity athletes/possible military(?)).

That's probably part of it. There probably are high class pegasi, but most of them live in Cloudsdale.

I think...the imagination powers could work...if severely limited. Limited to making hard light magical objects (or summoning objects from somewhere), with a limit of only one at a time with constant attention required.

@Applelight: Hoity Toity at least has a best-of-the-best boutique in Canterlot, and The Elements of Harmony guidebook says he's Canterlot's resident fashion guru. Praiser Pan the art critic from Micro-series Issue #4 is another elite Earth Pony, though I don't think the comic specifies whether or not he's actually from Canterlot.

@Mio: Outside of the Wonderbolts and guards (EDIT: and the Hearth's Warming Eve story), I think the highest-class Pegasus we've seen is that mare announcing "The Equestria Games go to... the city of Fillydelphia" in Rainbow Dash's "Games Ponies Play" flashback.

I've always been a little confused by the pegasi, are they kind of isolationist? Fluttershy says she hadn't been on the ground before falling, so either she was just too scared or they mostly just stay in their cities aside from work.

wouldn't put the former past her. Though since some of the pegasi live in other parts of Equestria (and then there are the Wonderbolts, who seem to enjoy pulling stunts around the country/world/whatever Equestria's supposed to be.). It's pretty unlikely that they would be isolationists at this point.
