I kinda like watching it with my boyfriend though, and the only time we're both in the same place at the same time is the weekend. I probably wont get to see it until next Saturday at this point.

Even though magic seems to be around a lot in that 'verse, Twilight's magic is noticeable more powerful than the rest. Most other unicorn's magic just seems to be the telekinetic variety.

I always figured that telekinesis was just a basic racial ability like flight, rather than real magic. But then again, they call it magic in the show.

Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

Romance in Equestria seems to be as more or less the same as it is on earth but there are a few exceptions, Princess Celestia is over a thousand years old and we have not seen that she has met the right one, though she is immortal and that has some problems not to mention Princess Candace out living shining armor, but now Spike may not out live Twilight.

@ Turtlebutter: I'm actually writing a story about the bat ponies right now. I've posited(Or rather, will posit) that their cutie marks are a music staff(Talent: Musical composing and playing, specifically piano and organ), and Several scrolls(Talent: Philosophy, particularly existentialism).

Of course it's worth noting in this version of their story they don't begin as guards, nor is their rule with the princess necessarily limited to guarding, so I'm not sure whether you find that helpful in the slightest.

Im planning on making a plush Luna's guard... but not wearing the armor. I guess a "naked" one if you want to put it that way.

I have already digitized the eyes for the embroidery machine... I'm just not sure what to do for the cutie mark.

I was thinking something vaguely night related... but not specifically so. I dunno.. I'm bad at this sort of thing.

Well, consider this: Shining Armour's cutie mark features the six-pointed star in the centre of his shield. He also has the ix-pointed star at the centre of his breastplate. Personalized emblem? Possible, but the other guards all have the same emblem - a five-pointed star. So perhaps it's a symbol of rank or division?

either way, the bat ponies have an eye as their emblem, so perhaps their cutie mark could be a shield with an eye in the centre? Or a shield with a moon in the centre

Shining Armor's cutie mark didn't appear until he was well into his adult life and he found his special talent was "being the captain of the royal guard."

And this WMG is not in any way contradicted by any flashbacks to the early parts of Twilight's life.

I was thinking of maybe using the shape of the constellation Pegasus... would that be too ironic? A pegasus of sorts with Pegasus as their cutie mark?

@Kegi The actual cutie mark changing turned out to be fake. There was still a lot of imagery using Twilight's CM +1 star during the episode, though.

About the finale? Not by a long shot. Even if I managed to avoid any word on the wings themselves, given the way things had been going it wasn't hard to puzzle it out. Hell, I had pretty much figured it out even before I saw the word. From the word go, really. All hearing an official spoiler was for me was confirmation.

Still, didn't know it was a musical until the morning of, so there's that I suppose. That was a pleasant surprise.
