It all still leaves the mystery of all of the six-star symbolism in the episode, even if Twilight's actual mark didn't change. Ah, well. We'll just wait and see.

I hope it is Trixie...it would be a great call back to that line in boast busters. Maybe she'll learn her lesson...and if anyone needs lessons in friendship, it's her.

Trixie did learn her lesson in "Magic Duel" though. Still, I wouldn't mind seeing her as a recurring character next season, even if she doesn't apparently live in Ponyville. We all need a little extra ham in our lives.

Again, why does Twilight need to be replaced? IMO, it would be like replacing Curly with Shemp or, even worse, Joe Besser.

She doesn't need to be replaced, but it's fun speculated how the writers would do it. And it would certainly keep the show fresh.

This is why we should not call the group the "Mane 6" if they do add a member. The title would be confusing and implies replacement.

I cared more about the lack of Blueblood. Indeed the lack of any nobility aside from Twilight's parents. You'd think a coronation would be a pretty big deal.

I think it would spice things up if they added a new unicorn to the group. Could be a brand new character, like maybe a promising young unicorn for the newly Princessed Twilight to mentor?

I just think it'd be nice to keep the racial balance... that's just me being semi OCD though :P

With 26 episodes they'll definitely add new characters. What kinds of new characters would we like to see? A crystal pony adventuring outside the Crystal Empire? More griffons? A zebra that isn't Zecora?

I wish they would have gone to Saddle Arabia instead of just having ambassadors from there.

I think now that Twi is a Princess she should be traveling more as an ambassador or something. Unless there is some task for her that she was given in the latest episode I haven't seen yet.

That could work for Rarity, considering she’s actually expressed interest in finding a special somepony. But the other five all have ambitions unrelated to romance, so it would be out of character, or against the tone of the show, to imply at the end that romance is necessary for their true happiness.

Yeah, from an in-universe perspective, it’s entirely possible that all the mane six would be happier in a long-term relationship, and I certainly want them to be happy. It’s just that the romantic aspirations of everyone besides Rarity have been off-screen up to now, so the fulfillment of those aspirations should also be off-screen.
