I will flip my lid (in the good way) if a batpony joins the cast. I didn't think about that until you brought it up just now, but now I want it as much as I want to see the griffon lands.
And now its raining flaming zombie pirahanas everywhere.
@ Crow: She has guards. Four of the rarer Unicorn variant follow her four flag bearers.
Tealove is best pony.

I actually find that more nightmare inducing than the idea that because of the sheer amount of time and the limitations of even an immortal's memory, she'll eventually forget everyone who ever mattered to her, and will likely realize what's happening as the memories of her dear departed friends and lovers slowly fade until they vanish.

IMHO, time magic should be (very) limited in any setting.
I do like Doctor Who, watch it regularly, but time travel is UGH... I always end up hating myself every time I am compelled to apply any bit of logic to time travel.
Like with Harry Potter, I was (facepalm) when time magic showed up in this 'verse so I am very much glad that we only saw it used once (so far), just like in HP.
The thing is that most works just use time travel as a plot device to allow
Time Period Of The Week or
Dues Ex Machinas. Time travel breaks plots if you take it seriously, so the only way to have it make sense is if it is the entire point of the work, like with
Primer or
Achron.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
Calnos, I think it needs to be straight up zapped. It's a lot of "I think this" but the problem is, it's not signed, so how is anyone supposed to know who "I" is? And even if it were signed, I don't think that this sort of rant was ever supposed to be the purpose of the Analysis page.
Maybe she has something like a Pen-sieve that she can store memories in and go back and watch them whenever she likes.
For all we know, platonic love could be the norm whereas physical affection is rare. Unless you take the half-joking idea that's been around since the first specials that the licking and such is one big
Getting Crap Past the Radar.
"Welcome. You have entered the cranial vistas of psychogenesis. This is the place of no-time and no-space. Do not be afraid."
@ Kyler: I can get behind that idea, and it goes an awfuly long way towards explaining her apparent lack of interest in love (yeah, I know, none of the characters beyond Rarity have really expressed interest in romance, but Celestia really strikes me as someone who's not looking for somepony to cuddle up with at night) without painting her in a light that I really don't like.

That's the guy who runs the Ask the CMC blog. What's interesting is that he does his art in flash, so he has a bunch of flash puppets hat look pretty much perfectly like the show.
I have a message from another time...
I saw a clip reel of animations done by that guy. He has some Invader Zim ones that look really great too.
