He was an exiled noble from another kingdom who discovered a dark power and manipulated his way to the top of the Crystal Kingdom's government before deposing the Royal Family in a coup.
He was an adopted Prince to the Crystal Kingdom's Royal Family, but grew greedy and/or resentful and made a dark deal for the power he wielded to seize the throne.
A classic From Nobody to Nightmare story, he was a resentful peasant who discovered the dark power and armor in a cave, and quickly was consumed by the dark power's corruption before he conquered the Crystal Kingdom.
