I hate that stupid standard sexy cowgirl outfit AJ is often placed in. She should in 'work' clothes...or just dressed plainly when not actually working.

She did. Personally, I think Celestia would look better with a few more pounds on her.

Yeah, there's a difference between "this is how the character would realistically dress" and "this is what makes the character look good". Most artists opt for the latter.

I don't remember Lauren Faust saying that Celestia is the "ideal beauty" of Equestria, rather that's speculation based on her being drawn more atheistically and a pony with her proportions is on the sign of a beauty parlor. There's also Fleur (Fancypants' sexy companion) who was apparently described as a being a model in the script.

S3 Celestia looks the best actually. S1 was too thin.

Yeah, I'd say that it's obvious they've been steadily tweaking Celestia's design over time. Remember how awkward she used to look from the front? She was also really thin originally, and now she has more "normal" proportions.

So we were all talking about AJ's parents eariler, eh? Well, I have something to say about 3 other ponys with missing parents.

Does anyone find it odd that we haven't seen not just the parents, but also the family's of the 3 pegasi main charectors {Scootaloo, RD and Fluttershy}? The earth pony mane cast {AJ and Applebloom at least have a family that we know of, even if we don't know what's up with their parents} and the unicorn mane cast do, but not the pegasi?

I mean really, there's a reason why I have the headcanon that they're all orphans, after all {And that Fluttershy and RD lived in the same orphanage together}. And I'll stick to it as well. Unless the show itself eventually states otherwise, of course {Assuming that the show actually will do this someday and not just focus on "Let's try and fail at getting our cutie marks!" in Scootaloo's case}.

Maybe...maybe Celestia was always depressed at the loss of Luna...now that she's back, she's enjoying life again, and looks healthier for it.

Well, Fluttershy and RD are probably not from Ponyville, so it isn't unusual that their parents aren't around. Scootaloo has no excuse though.

As for the orphanage thing, now I'm getting FF 8 flashbacks.

Applelight, that is thoroughly depressing....and now my headcanon.

actually, the most common headcannon I've seen for Flutters is that her mom is a Big Mac size pegasus mare named Barricade in charge of the pegasi of the royal guard. Her father is even meeker than Flutters.

I've seen this pop up in more than a few fanfics.
