Marston: Does anyone find it odd that we haven't seen not just the parents, but also the family's of the 3 pegasi main charectors {Scootaloo, RD and Fluttershy}? The earth pony mane cast {AJ and Applebloom at least have a family that we know of, even if we don't know what's up with their parents} and the unicorn mane cast do, but not the pegasi?

I think I’ve seen a few fanfics theorizing that, prior to the founding of Equestria, pegasi simply tended not to form long-term relationships, and raised their children collectively. By the present day, that’s no longer universal, but it’s still rather common—Dash, Flutters, and Scoots were all raised this way, and simply don’t know who their parents are.

That would be running a punchline into the ground.
