Question: how can Tails drop Sonic? Sonic's the one who maintains their connection by gripping Tails's feet.

No, they hold hands. Tails could easily just drop him if he wished.

Back on topic: I notice a lot of people at Equestria Online didn't like this episode. I kinda disagree. it wasn't bad but they could've done more with it. Don't really see why Twilight needs an extra companion though (I know it was probably Executive Meddling but still)

Is anyone else getting the impression that Faust has actually seen some scootabuse stuff? Maybe it's just my imagination, but I see scootaloo interacting with Dash and all I see is Faust seeing those pictures, rolling up her sleeves and saying, "That's what you thought I meant? Allright, I'll show you what I meant!"

Scootabuse is a pretty recent meme, and it takes quite a bit of time (I don't remember how much) to make these episodes. There's a limit to how quickly they can respond to fandom silliness.

The best example would probably be Derpy Hooves. The fans noticed her in the first episode, but she didn't make an appearance with derp-eyes until Feeling Pinkie Keen (episode 15!), despite her appearing in the background in prior episodes.
