@Applelight: It's not too bad, although I think you might want to make the boar a bit smaller. As is, he's about the size of a buffalo, which is way bigger than pigs tend to be.

Im pretty sure that the Wikipedia article pig is real.

Not so sure about the one the kid killed, I think the camera angle makes it look a bit bigger than it really is but its still pretty damned huge.

Both were reported to be around 1000lb though.

And the thing is, I want Hogz to be the 'anti-changlings'. They don't have their sneaky tactics. It's all show of force and brute strength...but...it takes more than a cowered stance to defeat them. They should be able to take and shrug off a ton of damage.

Even if the pig is legitimately that big, it isn't exactly standard size. I'm pretty sure your average pig is nowhere near that enormous.

You are talking Anthropomorphic pigs in a fantasy world though.

Look at the Diamond Dogs... they are about as big as the Buffalo height wise. Are real dogs that big?

No, but the Diamond Dogs aren't really dogs so much as trolls that happen to have dog-like characteristics.

But nitpicking about realistic sizes aside, my main point was simply that I thought the boar looked a bit too big in Applelight's sketch. It certainly could work, but I'd personally make it a little smaller.

I dunno, I think its a good size. Any smaller and it might not seem as menacing. Maybe that's the leader or something and all the other hogs are smaller?

Plus it is kinda standing up on it's hind legs. It might appear bigger cuz of that?
