@ librarian, not really I feel My Little Denarians is mroe that though it does have some rather serious or dramativ/Dark parts, it balances those with a lot of the lighthearteed comedic (mostly of the witty dialog/banter) feel of the regular Dresden Files books
Dresden filllies. it starts out comedic and light hearted, but once the seriousness kicks in about half way it drops that and goes all serious and grim. the sequel is a bit better at it, but it never really gets out of being a real serious tone
MLD shifts from lighthearted to comedy to serious action drama and suspense as well as the regular Dresden does, like the one of the latest chapters
Starts with the mane 6 and some of Harry's friends on Earth just mesing around with each other, having a few laughs and each others expense, jus general fun and comedy, then they get ambushed, and by the end 3 of the ponies had racked up actual kill counts (though two of those were accidental ad all in self defense) It handles the shift from light hearted to serious better.
though that being said the dark parts of MLD are a lot darker then those from DF, they just have better balancing with the funny and easy going parts. i mean MLD is a sequel to a one off story that is just Pinkie Pie pops into Dresden's apartment out of nowhere and starts trying to through him a party inviting all his friends, including the Arcangle Micheal, and Nicodemus.
