Two things about Pinkie Pie:

First of all, I was thinking about her Pinkie Sense, and then I wondered, is it genetic? As in, is it something that is unique to her only, or is it something that she could pass on to her offspring?

Also, my mom had once asked me a question when we were shopping for pony toys. She wanted to know why Pinkie Pie seems to have the most merchandise involving her in some way. I wasn't quite sure how to answer it at that time, and I later thought about it. Some possible reasons could be:

She was popular in G3 and was probably the face of the franchise back then too, so it's easy for them to just keep her G4 version in the spotlight too.
She may have scored high in popularity polls?
Her perky, childlike personality makes her easily marketable. Pinkie herself would probably love the idea that she's popular and on all the merchandise.
She's pink, and thus Hasbro assumes she should be popular, just like how they made the Celestia dolls pink even though she's white on the show and the boxart.

I reckon Pinkie Sense is also seen in some other seemingly-talentless Earth Ponies who don't exhibit the usual EP powers, only normally not as strong as Pinkie's.

@Blue: The fella is wrong, everypony has had they not-so-nice moments. Fluttershy gets a tad cruel/angry, Rarity gets snippy when her meticulousness is threatened, Dashie gets grouchy and mean, Pinkie has no sense of personal space, even AJ gets all stubborn, and Twi gets cranky a lot. They all also show their nice side too, which is why I like them all :3
