Oy! Fire would like to have a word with your dogs and your horses!

Hmm, come to think of it, did domestication of the dog come before fire?

Hey, ed, could you draw Pinkie Pie trying to cheer up Twinkle the Marvel Horse? Pretty please?

[up] Naw, man, do your thing. I just don't get it, is all.

What about firedogs and flamehorses?

About that time travel spell, it bugs me a little.

Twilight obviously had an experience on what the spell is like, how it is really short and the user hardly have any time to explain things thoroughly. In fact, it is because of that things got escalated because future Twilight couldn't explain things thoroughly.

So why didn't Twilight just write down what happened and hand it to her past? "Hey, past me. No time. Read this. Don't panic. Bye." Things could have been a lot simple, you know.

@d Roy: Twilight + Stress = Bad Decisions, man. You did see Lesson Zero or Swarm of the Century or Feeling Pinkie Keen, right?

@Count - Yes, but at that point the problem was solved. No stress.

It makes me wonder, though. Current!Twilight got warned warned by Future!Twilight. Who warned the latter?

Sleep deprivation doesn't really help Twilight's emotional state very much either.

Unless you seek hilarity, in which case it's the biggest help there is.

Also, that's not how time travel works. It wasn't multiple identical events. It was one event to which Twilight possessed multiple viewpoints.

@d Roy: Stressed Twilight aside, It's About Time is really as pure a gag episode as this series has produced. Which is something of a shame considering the interesting things that were brought up.

[down]It's not an episode for thinkin. Also, G'night.

Alright, so Apple Bloom is caught with note. Note turns out to be blank. Turns out that Violet Pony Notepasser Person was using it as an excuse to be a dick. Entire class laughs.

Teacher: Do nothing.

Wow.

I can't imagine there being a Board of Education...

If there's no police force (Save for the main six I'm assuming), standing military (except for Royal Guards), or even centralised medical facilities (There is one medic, and she's a nurse), then education is kinda out of the question...

[up][up]Of course not. Such things are unneeded in the grand pony utopia.

But then again, the same utopia is frequently threatened by very large threats. There should be at least a town militia or something. That's what I assume the main six are.

Militia won't do much for grand scale threats. That's what they keep the elements of harmony for.

[up][up][up][up][up]Honestly, that just falls under stuff that they don't show cause it's not needed for whatever story they are telling. We don't see a hospital till later in the series, and I wouldn't be surprised if a police station chowed up suddenly.

I don't see any regular military outside the Royal Guard showing up though. It's really not that kind of show.
