At a certain point you just sort of embrace the cheese. This is a show about magical ponies after all, this show is not for the lactose intolerant.
Yeah, this is a show squarely about embracing your inner optimistic fun-loving self, the one that you may have buried under years of cynicism and bitterness. A willingness to be a little goofy helps.

And yes, most folks take several episodes before they go from "this is not bad" to "whoa, it's awesome." I think it was four or five episodes before I admitted to myself that I was hooked.

I sometimes skip the title tune if I'm feeling particularly lactose-intolerant, but if not I'll just hum along. I'm interested in how the new tune goes.

The Freeman, never have I agreed so strongly with someone. We're the same kind of person, at least when it comes down how we view fandoms.

I basically entered the show going "Ha, I can't believe I'm watching this" and then by like the fifth or sixth episode I realized "I'm still watching this..." and never stopped.
I analyze "Geek Culture" here.

[up][up][up][up] Yeah, I didn't start LOVING this show until Winter Wrap Up (or maybe it was swarm of the century)

Don't force it though Freeman. If you're not enjoying yourself then stop. No one's gonna think any less of you

[up][up][up] Not feeling forced to watch it, I like it so far.

I was a little less bitter about the hype, then I got curious about the show before watching.

I watched it out of order. My second episode was "Suited For Success", the one that hooked me.

(My first was "Fall Weather Friends", which I never liked that much.)

I'm curious—did any of you head of Lauren Faust before the ponydom?

I can honestly say I do remember her as Craig Mc Cracken's wife, but nothing beyond that until the show started airing.

[up][up] I'd never heard of her, but now that I look at it, she worked on a lot of stuff I watched.

Could someone convert this into an avatar friendly form? My computer doesn't work well with avatars.

Nope, didn't know anything about her until ponies.

Which I then learned she was behind PPG and Foster's with Mc Cracken, both I loved very much.

OH GOD MEMORIES

[up][up][up] Most excellent. Remind me to send you a nice muffin.

[up][up][up][up] Premature welcome to the herd. This is a good song for new bronies.

[up][up] It has potential to be sterotypical "Celestia will be mad ha ha nope Chuck Testa", but I have faith that they won't do that.

Looking at that PMV I just realized that Spike from Ticket Master acts a lot like certain types of bronies. The ones who adamantly refuse to acknowledge girly stuff, yet secretly love it when they're alone.

At the end of Ticket master, how did their tickets fly off with them as they left the library? Only two of them should have telekinesis

Spike didn't really seem to be in it for the girly stuff, though. He wanted to show his friends doughnut shops and stuff and he didn't hang around when the party started. I still think he should have gone with Pinkie. She was the least centred around something that couldn't include him.

I forget which episode the series actually "clicked" with me was, but the video that initially sparked my interest in the show.

It was posted on ''WorldOfWarcraft'' Insider for whatever reason, and I was wondering why one of the editors thought My Little Pony was awesome and what were ponies doing fighting dragons and bears made of stars. I did some research, went to the TV Tropes page (thanks, guys), saw some clips, started watching full episodes, and by the end of the week I was watching "Green Isn't Your Color" in a live stream. It all kinda happened fast and together...

[up] With me, it kind of went:
  1. Haven and Gelzo making pony references on Cockatrice and in the Magic: The Gathering thread.
  2. Visit the memes page to see what they're referencing
  3. Watch a couple of the linked youtube videos
  4. Become hooked on Fluttershy's "yaaaay"
  5. Start watching in the order on the recap page
  6. Become hooked
  7. Start working "20% cooler" into nearly every conversation
  8. ??????
  9. Profit!

I think I first heard about it through Tv Tropes with various posters' avatars, but hearing someone mention it in real life also made me more inclined to check it out.
