Don't jump the gun yet. Give him a little time to watch a few more episodes. I didn't really get into it until I was 8 or 9 episodes in. But yeah, "This is better than I thought" is a standard response.

Thanks, I was expecting some complaining for being ambivalent at the start. Thank God, seeing as how tvtropes is one of the few sites that hasn't lost its soul to the wasteland of the internet.

Am I the only one who cracks up really hard at the title theme? My God, its cheesy...

At a certain point you just sort of embrace the cheese. This is a show about magical ponies after all, this show is not for the lactose intolerant.

I watched the entire series before I was willing to take the plunge and not skip the title sequence. (Mind you, it took until Dragonshy to get over the feeling that the cops were going to kick down the front door and confiscate my testicles.)

Now that I have, I don't actually mind it.

If you are talking about the intro about nightmare moon origin. I agree, it's a bit heesy but in a good way.

But if you are talking about the the "my little pony theme" I have to disagree.

Yeah, we actually tend to be relatively tolerant of criticism as long as it isn't of the "you guys are watching little girl show u r gay" trolling type.

The title theme is cheesy, although I kinda like the instrumental version that usually plays over the credits.

Although you should be prepared to put up with fanon and overanalysis of everything.

It's kind of hard to call someone a brony if he only saw some of the episodes and only thought the show was "pretty good". Heck, I'm having trouble calling myself one because even though I seen all of it and love it, I do not make fanart or write fanfiction, and don't hype it up.

It's assumed that's what it was, yeah. I can't remember much about it, it was fairly grainy. I think There was Big Mac and a train.

I wonder if they're going back to Aaaaaaaaaaapa LOOSA!? It would be neat to see Braeburn again.

That picture was from the new opening? Why is there a train right in the middle of Ponyville? I always assumed they caught the train to Appleoosa from somewhere else, Ponyville doesn't look big enough to have its own train station.

I had to go through the entire sries once before I even considered to stop skipping the title theme. At first I skipped it becuase it made me sick. A Nd then I paniced at hte realization that I didn't feel like skipping it anymore. Then I I began to die inside when I relaized that I liked it (It's one of those acquired taste songs you hate at first and then like after hearing it several times, like The Gunslinger Theme). Then I got over it.

So I understand your view Freeman, I hope you have more will than I do.

So my girlfriend knows I watch MLP Fi M. We were talking about Memebase and the conversation eventually lead to this:

GF: I don't get My Little Brony.
Me: You don't?
GF: No.
Me: Well, it's based on the show, and it has a huge, [i]huge[/i] male following, hence the bro-ny name.
GF: Really?
Me: Yes
GF: So, have you watched it?
Me: ...yes.
GF: All of it?
Me: *smirk* Yes.

(I don't remember what my girlfriend said to after I said yes. However, if she teased me, I would have remembered it)

Me: How I got into the show went something like: *explains* ...Basically, I went from this, *:/* to this, *O_O*
GF: Wow.

@Shota: It depends on how you define "brony" I guess. Some people use it to refer to any fan of the show who isn't part of the primary demographic, some people only use it refer to the diehard fans. Such are the problems with fan terms.

I wonder if the new intro will be an entirely new song or just another version of the current one? I usually skip the theme song just to save time. I'll all about efficiency, and whenever a title tune is followed by commercials and not more show, I skip it, whether it's Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who, or My Little Pony.

Braeburn is probably my favorite colt/stallion. I'd love to see an episode where he goes to Ponyville and is awed by the "luxury".

Probably might take a while getting used to the fandom. Never liked the fans of almost anything ever, and seeing how there's a lot of fan....stuff involved here, I'll probably feel uncomfortable sometimes.

Does not mean I don't keep composure. I won't froth at the mouth if you guys do stuff I feel weirded out by.
