Speaking of clouds and princesses, at the beginning of the vision Discord shows Rainbow Dash in "The Return of Harmony Part 1, " there's a group of ponies flying towards Cloudsdale from the left side of the screen. I'm not certain, but it looks like the one leading the group could be Princess Luna.

Well Luna is currently trying to avoid being seen and don't forget that if she ruled publicly everpony would probably have a fit that the mare that tried to take over the world was given half of the power of the executive branch.

I'm OK with princess thing. It make sense. Before NM stuff they proplably couldn't be both Queens and later Celesrtia doesn't whanted to be Queen, because of way she take all power for herself.

Then Celestia would say: "I love her, and she's my sister, you guy's got a problem with that?"

Would ANYONE say anything against her?

Back to the topic of Pinkie Pie being (ir)responsible...

I wonder if Pinkie acts as flighty as she does because she knows there's always someone around to be more responsible, so she doesn't have to. Or, in other words, if she was thrust into a situation where she was the ONLY responsible pony around, would she continue to be a flighty airhead? Or would she step up to the plate and be more responsible out of necessary (possibly while giggling the entire time)?

It depends on how much power Celestia has. She doesn't seem like she's the absolute monarch type and even if she was all powerful on paper she might fear a revolt.

^^I would love to see her in charge of the Crusaders for an episode. Actually, if you think about it, she is kind of the responsible one in "Swarm of the Century"... she seems to be good at getting done what needs to be done, she's just absolutely terrible at communicating effectively.

^I believe she heads a rather large beauraucracy, and I imagine her ministers might counsel strongly against letting Luna back into the flow of things, but she would definitely be able to override them on that. It wouldn't make them happy, though, nor would it be possible to entirely stamp out any resentment that might be harbored toward Luna.

I think Luna's major advantage in returning to Equestria is that everyone who remembers the first Nightmare Solstice is long dead now.

You'd think teaching TOLERANCE would be one of Celestia's primary goals as a monarch (seeing as how her subjects would need it to accept Luna back)

I don't asume anything about Luna and how ponies react to her. I just wait for her episode.

I don't know about how powerful Celestia is politically but I'd prefer the idea that she's the equivalent of the Equestria president. She's never seen taking any action in the judicial or legislative branch and I like the idea that the ponies have some form of republic with the election of lawmakers by the general public.

In my personal fanon (or whatever it can called) Eqestria have Prime Minister (it is related to Doctor Whoof).

^^My personal fanon is based in Progress (with a bit of Half of the Day is Night), wherein the Sun Court and Moon Court run things in Equestria with significant input from the Princesses.

I kinda just assumed that the royal family was in charge of everything. Celestia doesn't want the ponies to become too reliant on her, that's true, but at the same time I think she'd want to have her fingers (hooves) in every aspect of pony culture, just in case something went horribly wrong.

Okay, here's a screencap◊ of the possible Luna cameo in "The Return of Harmony Part 1" (upwards of the leftmost non-rainbow waterfall).

One odd thing I noticed while I was taking the pic is that possibly-Luna starts out looking more gray (corrupted?) and turns bluer while passing a certain point (the screencap is after this transition).

Hmm... I've got to read that fic sometimes.

It could be her. I don't ever recall seeing any other pegasi that shade of blue.

That does look like Luna's color scheme, yes. And I see Fluttershy, too.

^^Directly above the three actual water waterfalls, there's a swirl of darker-colored cloud. Luna's near the center of the swirl.

Fluttershy being in it is harder to tell, since there're a bunch of background ponies with similar color schemes. Luna's, on the other hand, is pretty unique—the closest pegasus I can find to her is the announcer◊ from "Sonic Rainboom" (and his hair is too light to be the pony in my screencap).

And yes, this is the "let's trick RD into ditching her friends" vision.

I still think Twilight having a horn in AJ's vision is weirder.
