Putting these two Words of Faust together, we know that:

• Celestia does not have parents that outrank her
• Blueblood is the great great great great great great great great great great great (and probably even more greats) nephew on Celestia's and Luna's mother's side, about 52 times removed, roughly speaking
• Luna and Celestia have no siblings
• Luna and Celestia have no children

After hearing speculation about Fluttershy being part Earth Pony I have to wonder what these traits applied to other ponies would be. Here's my speculation.

Pegasus with Earth Pony: Have a stronger connection with plants and animals than Pegasus and are slightly stronger with will that can accomplish some feats(Fluttershy's "stare"). Weaker flier on average.

Pegasus with Unicorn: Can use certain amount of magic tied to the force of their body limited by cutie mark. (for example having a grip that ties to elemental forces like say holding water if the pegasus has a rain related cutie mark). Activates more magic at high speeds but less stable in their flight abilities.

Unicorn with Earth Pony: In average they're far more durable than pure unicorns but they rely on full contact magic. Generally they need to touch the object they intend to enchant.

Unicorn with Pegasus: Capable of walking on clouds and manipulating air currents and liquids with telekinesis (correct me if anypony was ever shown using telekinesis on a non-solid) but have a much lower maximum weight when lifting anything telekinetically.

Earth Pony with Unicorn: Able to take the "earth ponies can do anything if the work hard enough" mantra Up to Eleven. Are capable of doing the impossible with enough effort (breeding animals that possess traits that cannot exist naturally, making trees grow out of horsemade objects) but generally slower than their companions.

Earth Pony with Pegasus: Can walk on clouds and are faster on average, with an ability to leap far higher than pure Earth ponies but are far weaker and less able of using Earth ponies talent with plants and animals.

^^^Huh, that's interesting. The Princesses' parents must be dead, then, I suppose... but even so, that leaves questions as to how Blueblood (interesting that that's a fan name! I never knew that!) is related to the royal family at all.

^^Hm... looks good to me, actually. We've seen Lyra (or at the very least, a sea-green unicorn) standing on clouds in Cloudsdale.

No, "Astron" was the Fan Nickname; "The Best Night Ever" (which refers to him as "Blueblood") hadn't aired yet, so at the time he had no official name on the show.

I was actually thinking about this because of the fanfic I'm writing involves a pair of twins (very rare in the horse world) one a Pegasus one a unicorn from a mixed marriage.

Here in Britain, we had the Queen's mother (until she died that is) It is possible in a monarchy for children to have all the power and the parents to have none.

Still pissed about it though

Death: Drawfriends seem to be based on popularity or Seth's vote. Seems Seth goes around pulling stuff at random from Ponychan and DA. Other than that, seems if enough people link him the same picture saying they like it, he'll post it too. Note that Seth seems to have a very specific taste in art (I hardly see any black and white or non-digital stuff, for instance), so e-mailing him is probably the best way.

And that solves the issues of Earth Pony and Unicorn children born in Cloudsdale.

Meh, actually I like to imagine the panic that goes through the Cloudsdale Doctor's heads when they see an earth pony or Unicorn being born.

It would also be pretty tragic

Before but they know their parens so they are prepared for this, or propalby mixed couple go on the ground for time of pregnacy.

Fun fact: Baby giraffes begin their life falling to the ground.

And ponies seem to be unnaturally tough, so there's no reason it can't be the same way.

What was Luna originally supposed to be? What's the sister of a queen called? Is it still "princess"?

But then there's the issue that Luna and Celestia were supposed to be equals.

Maybe that's why they're both Princesses. Perhaps they're in fact like the counsuls of Rome. They both have equal power and neither wants to take the title Queen.

That's what I LIKE to imagine, it's just that Lauren wanted Celestia to be the one in charge
