Not true. The earliest method of hunting involved humans chasing animals until they dropped dead from exhaustion. We may not be faxst, but a trained human can run for longer than any other species (unless there's an obscure one that I'm not thinking of).

It's funny, I heard Lauren Faust was reluctant to allow a locomotive in the cartoon, but the toys have already gone and introduced automobiles to Equestria.

Yea, considering that humanity has basically used horses and ponies as vehicles, I don't think the ponies would really need any vehicles. Saddlebags allow them to carry quite a bit and where that isn't enough, they can pull a cart around. And if they need to go faster, it would probably be easier to find a unicorn that can provide magical enhancements of some kind than trying to invent something like a car.

The infinitely, self re-newing energy source of magic pretty much makes other inventions nearly pointless. Plus tele-freaking-portation exists.

Though balloons and some other aerial vehicles are ok, I guess.

And now I had an image of unicorns going to a dayjob at a Magic Power Plant in my head.

Of course, it wouldn't be a pollutive energy source, otherwise Equestria would lose it's bright colors.

The most powerful unicorn in Equestria seems to have trouble winking more than a few feet away.

I don't think unicorn teleportation is very viable or efficient

I don't think Twilight is the most powerful.

Celestia only mentioned her raw potential. The girls still got a lot to learn, hence why she studies.

True. Seeing unicorns at or even above Twilight's level in action could be interesting. Especially if they show Twilight how she still has a lot of work to do.

You guys are missing the point of vehicular transport. Well, half the point of vehicular transport. It's not always to get from point A to point B the fastest, but sometimes to simply get there with minimal effort. Sure, you can run/fly fast, but that's exhausting.

Dunno how much effort it takes for a unicorn to teleport. Or if any unicorn could do it. So no arguments from me on that front, at least.

But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...

I'm looking up the episode synopsis for "Lesson Zero" on my cable provider (I have U-Verse), and it seems to be different than the synopsis on the episode recap page.

"As the time approaches for hyper-organized Twilight to write her weekly letter to Princess Celestia, she panics and frantically searches high and low for a good lesson about friendship, but nothing seems to be going right."

I still maintain that Trixie would've won that duel if it actually happened

Not because Trixie is stronger or anything, but because it's her talent. Her magic is based around making her look good (and her opponents look bad) on stage. She could pull off flashier spells than Twilight, even if they didn't actually do anything useful. Since Twilight's talent is magic, I have no doubt that she could've learned Trixie's magic, but as she was at the time of Boast Busters, I think Trixie would've overwhelmed her with her trickery and stage presense

If she is put in Fighting Is Magic, Trixie will be the Joke Character: she uses illusions and smoke clouds that don't actually do any damage.
