So many games have taunts, but not many seem to have the opposite. What would it be called in a fighting game? Cheers? Respect? I dunno...

As to why you'd wanna use them? Well, either for appriciating a challenge, or sarcasm.

The use in team based games is more obvious.

Right off the bat I can think of only one fighting game that had both taunts and "respect": Guilty Gear, the first one atleast.

It's kinda fun to bow/thumbs up/applaud to a dizzy/stunned opponent and then proceed to kick their ass.

I can only play TF 2 on brony servers. Ponies are part of experience of playing TF 2.

Copypaste of my response

I remember someone explaining Rarity using magic during Winter Wrap Up as that since Rarity wasn't a powerful Unicorn, if she was incapacitated somepony else could do her job. But since Twilight is such a powerful Unicorn, she could probably do a lot of Winter Wrap Up solo with magic so if she was incapacitated it would be hard to replace her. In a place like Canterlot which is full of Unicorns, it would be easy to replace a Unicorn so Winter Wrap Up is done by magic. But in Ponyville which doesn't have many Unicorns it is safer long term to do it without magic.

I think Fluttershy should have a super attack where she just stands there and does that little kick from Green Isn't Your Color, and if it connects, it does an inexplicably massive amount of damage.
