True, but normally she's insanely frank. The only thing keeping her from Honesty proper is her need to win to all costs.
I've been reading the Molestia tumblrs and have been laughing non-stop. these people will come up with anything.
Well I've been allowed to say I dislike Rarity and Rainbow Dash without crucifixion yet, so I say yo u are entitled to like anypony you choose.

Molestia can be entertaining as long as it sticks to fan works. When people start trying to make out Celestia's canon characterization line up with that, it's just dumb. And both ways, it gets old pretty quickly due to overexposure.

I think being blunt and being honest aren't exactly the same thing. It depends a lot on intent. Applejack tells the truth because she thinks it's best for everyone, and is willing to hold back the truth when she feels it will hurt someone. Rainbow Dash just blurts things out because she doesn't really think about it.
That's how I feel about most fanon characterizations. Fun as long as you don't take it too seriously.

I like Rainbow Dash the least. But really, it's just a matter of different degrees of like with me. I like 'em all, and any of them not being there would really hurt the dynamic.
Rarity is my personal fave.

Funny, those are my favorite characters.
I can understand disliking Rainbow Dash (she is easily the most flawed pony and does not seem aware of her flaws, or intent to control them.).

A fair bit of Rainbow's bravado seems to be covering up her insecurities. She broke down pretty quickly in Sonic Rainboom, and in Fall Weather Friends, she seemed genuinely nervous for a bit that she would lose to AJ. Not sure how self aware of this she is though.

You can see it right at the beginning of the Iron Pony competition. She seems pretty nervous when she see's AJ's time on that barrel run, and actually seems surprised when she gets a better time. You can see AJ needs to give her a little encouragement on that first event. She's genuinely terrified of losing, even in a friendly competition, which is probably why she starts cheating.

I can't remember who originally made this point, but "honesty" does imply "honor". Until coaxed into cheating by Dash, Applejack was definitely more honorable in their race. (Come to think of it, there are several things Applejack does that speak more of "honor" than of "tells the truth").

When the other five were broken from Discord's spell, only Applejack apologized for her behavior? ... you can't really say that, because the rest of the 4 were all broken from their spells in a quick montage. We see Rarity chuck Tom out the wall, so we know she never did. Pinkie may have. And Fluttershy may have after her shot.

Agree! So much! True they weren't responsible for their actions, but most of them didn't even seem aware that they'd actually done anything. Most of them thought they were dreaming.
