Good luck.

Speaking of songs, I don't know why, but for some reason Twilight's line "Tough task ahead I face" in Winter Wrap Up feels really powerful to me. Hm.

I see what you mean, kinda.

That song makes me feel weirdly nostalgic, since it was the first footage I ever saw of the series.

It seems I have greatly underestimated the speed at which my computer can generate thumbnails for iMovie.

...

I'll get it done eventually. I mean, I already have the thing planned out fully. How hard could it be?

Now that there will be no more ponies until the fall, it is my intention to obsess over fan fiction to mitigate how much I will miss it. Joking.

Also, what's the deal with unshorn fetlocks?

IIRC it comes from a fan comic where Luna is experiencing cultural shock after being imprisoned for 1K years. Apparently she's accustomed to unshorn shetlocks being scandalous.

They're referred to jokingly as a sort of fetish ponies can have or something, I think.

Funny. I've seen that same opinion expressed pretty frequently. It didn't stick out to me that much, but I'll pay more attention to it next time I listen.

So, it's time for more Fi M related coincidences. Well, actually just one coincidence, and then an interesting Fi M related thing in my life

The coincidence: It was lunch break. I had enough time to watch an episode or two of Fi M on my iPod. However, my school doesn't really know me that well (I'm sort of new, and kind of a Fluttershy when it comes to being social), so I'd prefer to go somewhere without a lot of people. I head into a classroom with a teacher I like, and as I walk in, the entire class is watching The Ticket Master on one of the other kid's laptops. Threw me for a serious loop, I'll tell you what

Interesting thing: In Independent Living class, the main subject was on being assertive and speaking for yourself. As I was listening to the stuff being said, I remembered that I had Sonic Rainboom on my iPod (not a coincidence, I've had it on there for over a week now). After class, I showed my teacher the famous "Yay" scene and the scene where Fluttershy confronts the two douchebags teasing Rainbow Dash, and he seemed to be really interested. Yeah...that was it, really

Now I have Pony Overdose.

Someone needs to make something involving Pinkie Pie and Deadpool, and no, not just a single fanart picture or something. Something like a fan comic or fanfiction. Just imagine the havoc Pinkie and Deadpool could wreak together

Is Applejack's last name Apple?

I don't think ponies actually have such a thing as last names (or family names, if you prefer).

Huh. That's a good point.

Because they grow apples and name themselves after apples, perhaps?

Well, they have to call their clan something, to tell them apart. They just don't use it as part of someone's name on an individual level.

I mean, how do you account for Big Macintosh, Granny Smith, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, etc.?

Apple can't be their last name. That'd make Apple Bloom's full name Apple Bloom Apple, which is kinda like Mario Mario.

It would also make Applejack's name Applejack Apple, which is just as dumb.

I know a girl named Jen Jenson, so it's not an impossibility - a bit of an odd move on the parents part, but given that every single member of thefamily is named after some sort of apple product, one imagines tradition plays a part.

There's also the issue of Pinkie Pie's grandmother, named only as 'Grammy Pie', implying Pie to be a surname (it also seems that way based on Pinkie's full name, which is arranged like a ordinary western name), not to mention 'Mr. and Mrs. Cake'. The obviously have surnames of some sort, but exactly how they work - be it that the last section of their name is the family name or that the family name comes after the double names - hasn't been solidified.
