An OC Earth Pony named Rock Breaker who is a founding member of an anti-gay hate group called "Foals First" beat up a prostitute who implied he was gay. He was then castrated (*Ouch*) by the Filly's pimp, who leaves him for dead. He is found, ironically, by a M / Trans couple who mistake him for a gelding (*Apparently they have no gender reassignment surgery in Equestria*), who take him in not realizing who he is. Eventually he realizes the error of his ways but is spotted at a gay pride parade and it's all over the papers by next morning. He then leaves for pastures new and ends up in Ponyville, where he runs a coffee shop. He then ends up in a relationship with Caramel, his old Hetronormative Cusader buddies show up, and Drama Ensues.

...What I don't understand is why it was filed away on Equestria After Dark with the clopfics.

Also, I liked the way that it brought up gay rights issues, something the slashfics usually handwave.

[up]I cried too.

Well, I suppose the intro is a bit...gross.

But if cupcakes and motherfucking Derpy's Lover* can get on Equestria Daily, why the hell not this one?

...Actually, I might have an answer to that. A while back, the owner of Equestria Daily admitted to the crime of not putting up m/m fics because he assumed that most people wouldn't like them. It certainly helped that he himself was squicked out by them.

Though he's allegedly gotten over that spat of homophobia (and indeed, there are some m/m fics on the Daily now), this fic might have been sent in beforehand.

[up]Also, where is your avatar from? It's cute and I must know.

Oh, man. Thanks inane, that was an amazing fic. Almost turned away from it at the beginning, because that...sort of thing really gets to me, but I'm glad I read the whole way through.

I was blown away. I haven't read fanfic that good in AGES. Well the one with Celestia and Luna as children was damn good too, wonder when the next update is...

Not it.

There are some really, really good ones.

Most shipping fics just leave me with a general warm fuzzy feeling, but that one moved me. Gave me hope for the future, even.

...Okay, that might be a bit overboard. But still!

This is a really good fic. Basically, it took the idea of genetic memory from Assassin's Creed and ran with it.
