For one, it's like trying to clean up a garbage dump. Pretty much the only solution is to nuke it from orbit.

Second off, people enjoy rolling around in the filth. To them, it's not a mess. It's glorious.

And I just think all this shit is massively hilarious.

I don't really think that the 'filth' is all that bad. I suppose I've always been one to roll with the punches, so the bad stuff just slides off, but as long as it doesn't go too far...in an odd way, I kind of like it. Sure, it's nice to see something pure and innocent, but when it comes down to it, MLP kinda isn't...We've seen monsters, fights between gods, lost friendships...sure, they might never come out and say it, but MLP is kinda hardcore. I don't see the sorta sexual and sorta grimdark as trying to ruin it, I think it's people just trying to build on what's already there. Making it feel more full, and real for themselves, I guess? I've seen plenty of dark stuff that still, somehow, holds the same feel as the show.

So today I watched Call of the Cutie and Fall Weather Friends.

I must admit, I saw the whole "closer" thing Twilight was trying to pull pretty early on in the latter.
