#1476 from Here, obviously.
Just watching today's episode of Extra Credits (a video series on The Escapist, where Zero Punctuation is), and noticed when they said "our play is more fun than ever", it showed a picture of Pinkie Pie being excited.

This is as exciting as Nostalgia Critic walking past a John Egbert cosplayer in his latest vid.

Yes.

We are everywhere.

Our hooves are in every pie.

All the pies.

Yes.

All of them.

That pie you just pulled out of the oven? Second it came out...BAM! It had a hoof in it.

that's why hooves are black. Burns? We don't care 'bout no stinkin' burns. We've got pies to get our hooves into.

[up] Would it be a fanfic without them? And there's a sequel.

Another good one I feel I must pimp (Typo free).

Also, why can no one write Pinkie Pie right? She's always Flanderized to be more random and bouncy.

[up]People look at the archetype rather than the character.

They see insane and bouncy, so they write insane and bouncy.

That's how fanfic goes.

Now I feel compelled to write one so that at least one fanfic exists that gets her right...

I support that, but you gotta explain WHY you're actually getting her right, otherwise No True Scot fallacy with rear it's ugly head.

Y'know, from a certain perspective, since it isn't canon, you're never going to write her correctly. Even if she ever has a massive OOC moment in the show, it's a more accurate representation of the character since it is that character.

Characters have reasons for acting the way they do, and I don't think this show is bad enough that it would make one of it's characters be massively OOC for any reason that isn't explained which would still make it in character.

Cite your sources and Scribe on though, cause working with the material you have, you could probably still pull off a fairly accurate representation.

I just wrote a Grim Dark fanfic titled "Pinkie Pie's Secret Ingredient"! It's an unofficial sequel to "Rocket to Insanity".

That story made me cry.

You know what is the best Grimdark-ification for MLP?

Send the ponies to Calradia as war horses. Send them alongside a crew of Swadian men-at-arms to charge a line of Rhodok sergeants.

Or, somewhat along those lines, anything to do with this fellow...which would actually be pretty awesome, really.

Hmm, the way I'd see the ponies conducting a full out war would probably end up like it did in "Over a Barrel" with lots of destruction, pies everywhere, and big creatures felled by diminutive lady ponies...in a boxing match...Oh, and many many anvils dropped.
