What scene was that? I don't remember that happening.
I took a guess and cut a portion out of my heart.
He said, "That's nowhere close enough, but it's a damn good start."

Winter Wrap-up, making nests with Rarity. Rarity dumps the twigs, ribbons, and hay in front of her, camera pans while Rarity speaks for like two seconds, then goes back and Twi has everything in a neat little grid.
And of course, checklist-ception.

Cute. No, I'm not being sarcastic: it is indeed cute. I would've done it if I had a very special somepony. But I don't, so I didn't.

I am not lost: I am merely suffering a temporary misplacement of myself

I was going to post a response, but couldn't think of a way to incorporate 'adorable', 'classy', 'bisexual', 'badass', or 'loves giant robots'.
still pretty damned festive

Really nice.
I just saw this: Steampunk Ponies.
Steampunk Celestia◊ was especially awesome, I thought — and generally, I'm not even a fan of steampunk to begin with...
But they seem to
know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.

HUZZAH!
I have just completed a craptacular drawing of human!Princess Luna

Link?
Just watched Winter Wrap Up again, in preparation for the new episode. More entertaining than I remembered. That episode is a beautiful way to introduce young kids to the concept of ecological engineering.
I kept getting distracted by all the secondary characters who I now recognize, however — you know, Carrot Top, Bon Bon, and so on...
But they seem to
know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.

Once am on my laptop, I'll upload a photo of it since I'm stoopid and don't know how to work the wireless scanner/printer.
May have overdone the shading...◊

Fun fact: if you were to translate "Trollestia" into Latin and try to preserve its meaning, you would gett "Molestia", which is an actual word meaning "annoyance".

The clothing style looks like something that Human!Luna would indeed wear.

I've also done a colour version of human!Luna, complete with her screaming "THIS IS THE TRADITIONAL ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE!"... But am not to happy with it.

"Molestia" is also an actual word in Italian, it just means "harassment".
Other fun fact: not only Luna is the actual Roman name for the Moon goddess, but the sky god Caelus was depicted as an old bearded man with a long, flowing cloak over his head, standing above four horses. Did Celestia get a sex change and turn her mane into a cloak or something?
Also, some Roman authors attempted to identify the Jewish God with Caelus. Food for thought, definitely...

Wait, I thought Diana was the name of the Roman Moon goddess.

They had duplicates. Diana is the Roman equivalent of Artemis, whereas Luna is the Roman equivalent of Selene.

Right, Selene/Luna was the Titan, then Artemis/Diana took over.

Yeah, and later they were identified.
The Romans did not really have the whole "War Against the Titans" myth until they took it from the Greeks, I think...

This is appropriate.

Just seen the new MLP episode.
I burst out laughing several times. And there was a Pinkie song about making friends happy... Similar to the one I wrote in my story...!

Those kind of strange cocincdinces seem to happen all the time with this show and this fandom.
The new episode was certainly intreasting, but I can't help but think that I recognize Cranky's voice from some other show.....
