Thanks! But to be honest, I just copied it from Lovecraft outright and simply changed "daemon sultan" with "pink pony" and "Azathoth" with "Pinkie"

Guys? I found the most ridiculously obscure "shout-out" listed on this site, on Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS2E18AFriendInDeed.

Apparently, the voice actor for Cranky (Richard Newman) once voiced someone on Transformers. Peter Cullen, famous for being Optimus Prime on Transformers, has also voiced Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. Someone on that article actually posits that the casting of Newman as a depressed donkey is a knowing reference to Peter Cullen voicing a robot and a donkey.

It's at times like this when I hate tropers (please don't take this sentence seriously).

Yeah, I tend to obsess over trivia as well, but that's a long stretch.

Speaking of voice actor trivia, I just realized something. I've never watched Death Note before, but I heard that some of the voice actors for the english dub voice a couple charectors in mlp fim. I guess that kinda explains all the mlp/death note crossover pics I keep seeing.

A bit of google-fu turns up Naomi is Rarity.

I have no idea how significant a character she is because I was able to watch maybe an episode and a half of Death Note before deciding it wasn't my thing, so yeah.

I guess there's a link between Western and anime voice actors for Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.

Wha... WHOA. Naomi Misora?

She wasn't a main character and she wasn't around for long, but I found her pretty memorable. I can barely hear the similarities in their voices.
