Although there is this ongoing "putting away childish things" concept.
There are two versions of this that mean exact opposite things, so please clarify...
Do you mean the original Corinthians quote about actually putting away childish things, or do you mean the C.S. Lewis one that starts by putting away the childish fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up?

Obviously what Paul said.
Lewis's quote is self-contradictive. Aversion to one's own childhood is as he points out a childish concept itself, so you have to avert the very aversion, ad infinitum. And Lewis quotes Paul.

...oh dear.
1) Ad infinitum isn't a contradiction.
2) Even if it were, that's not ad infinitum.
3) You realize this entire periphery fandom is basically an embodiment of that exact quote, right? Loosen up. Enjoy some nonsense.
And Lewis quotes Paul.
Yeah, Christian writers do that.

All I know of this "MC W1SH" is that one comic with him got featured on EQD. Apparently he puts up a more visual than audible spectacle, compared to P0N3.
But clearly Vinyl and Octavia are meant for each other
As for the Lewis quote... ugh. I've seen it used far too many times in the sense of "Obviously, everybody who prefers a darker setting or a darker interpretation of a setting must just be fearful of appearing childish" to still like it.
As with many things, I approve of the intended message of the quote, though not with the usage. In a similar vein to how I quite like Nietzsche's philosophies. His real ones.
And you know, I see that ship so often but I just can't accept it.

Badly done grimdark just becomes grim derp', its only amusing because of the terrible execution.
I maintain that a dark story can stay with the tone of the show.

I've heard that so often, but I don't think I've ever really felt so... I guess I really just don't get that huge backlash against Darker and Edgier ...
