I had a wierd dream last night. You all remember the starscream vs rainbow dash death battle video, right? Well, I had a dream where for whatever reason, Screwattack was making another death battle with rainbow dash fighting that annoying duck hunt dog. Any one else get wierd pony dreams like that?
-rewatches- Aww, I was hoping they'd incorporate the Rainbow Nuke as the finisher.

Nice episode
But it is surprising that Applejack - an element of Honesty! - resorted to deception, or at the very least played accomplice.
But Rarity getting mud a over her is performing a
Heroic Sacrifice indeed

Well Rarity is the element of Generosity. When was the last time that made sense?

And the element of Loyalty is the most self-absorbed member of the Mane 6, the element of Laughter underwent a major psychotic episode because of a minor misunderstanding, the element of Kindness harassed and mistreated some animals when they were not friendly enough to her, and the element of Magic (that is, of Friendship) spent most of her life without friends at all...
I'm probably overthinking it, but I get the impression that the elements corresponding to the ponies are the ones that these ponies
value the most, not necessarily the ones that they are paragons of...
But they seem to
know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.
Rott: When she made the dresses for everyone, and tried to give them what they wanted? Or when fluttershy became super model famous?
As far as I'm concerned, they aren't necessarily perfect at their respective virtues. Which makes sense, really, as they're only human ponies.

Yeah, she was quite selfless in "Green is not Your Color."
Rarity is complicated. And I think Carciofus nailed it.

Hmm, actually this one had the impression that Rarity was quite generous in this episode too. For example, her reaction upon seeing Sweety Bell having destroyed her work. She did restrain herself quite a lot to avoid saying something nasty to her little sister.
And it bears repeating - Rarity. With mud all over her. That's something.

And playing in the rain with Sweetie Belle. Awww! Awww!
Rarity looks much cuter in the rain wearing a bandana than all dolled up.

Still, Applejack being deceptive - not even simply lying through her teeth, but participating in a rather elaborate plan - is strange

Not a lie for her own sake, though. In this case, it was better for everyone involved that she was dishonest. I'd say that part of correctly practicing a virtue is knowing when it applies.

And it fits pinkie with the halloween episode (Which, until the end, had confused me since Pinkie was supposed to be unscareable)
What the dub happened to the heart worming fan art for the show?

I felt that both Rarity and Sweetie Bell were in the right, up until they decided to no longer be sisters...

Rarity was totally in the right, although she should have laid down the ground rules first.
Rarity was indeed right. And it is a bit disingenuous to show Applejack as a better sister considering that, when they've done chores together, her little sister was actually useful

Hmm, been watching the very first episode again, and it seems that Nightmare Moon voice is much quieter than that of Princess Luna. Even her "The night will last FOREVER" is actually rather soft-spoken. Before the
Evil Laugh, that is. What's happened with
Evil Is Hammy?
