It's not just you. More generally, it's a metaphor for puberty and the perceived "maturity" that comes with it. Boobs and period for the girls, facial hair, muscle and penis development for the guys (though Call of the Cutie is more made with girls in mind, for obvious reasons). There's also the obvious symbolism of finding one's niche in life and the search for identity.

I just watched a few mlp fim episodes after watching the godfather part 1.Now I want to write a dark alternate universe fanfic with the charecters as mobsters. Any one else get a wierd feeling like that before?
Judging by the amount of grimdark FIM fanfic in existence, the answer is a resounding "yes."

Hi all. Just joined the herd a couple of weeks ago.
And now, after years of silence, I'm writing OC fan fiction.
Is this normal?

This is your brain on pony.

I was bit hard.

I would totally write fan fiction if I were more confident in my ability of writing a text in literary English of tolerable quality.
Gah, why couldn't Italian become the standard international language instead?

What if you collaborated with an English-speaking person?

Eh, perhaps. That's not a bad idea — I collaborated with a friend on a couple of short stories in the past, and it was an interesting experience.

Thanks!

Perhaps I might just try and see what happens — who knows, at the very least it would be something amusing to do, no matter the quality (or lack thereof) of the result.

Yeah, I had no idea you didn't speak english first. And to be perfectly frank, rare are the people, even among the english speaking world, who can speak it well.
oh noooooo! It's here too! Now I can't muck about on any pony forum whilst avoiding spoilers. I'll just have to suck it up while I wait for the episode to air on saturday.
Or, you know, use spoiler block-outs when we talk about upcoming episodes.

That was my point: there's no reason for Kegis to have to avoid the forum as long as people continue that practice.
