Which reminds me. If the regular ponies are 'earth', clearly the pegasi are 'air'. If you assume unicorns are fire (closest thing to magic, I guess?) or maybe spirit, there must be some water ponies around somewhere!
I think they must be those whatchamacallits, hippocampus. Horses with fish tails.
