Is it bad that I saw a lot of myself in Twilight in today's episode?

This is a site specifically full of nerds. I think most of us are going to connect to Twi sooner or later [lol]

Nah, when I am under pressure for a looming deadline I am nowhere as calm and collected as Twilight was in this episode tongue.

And I am nowhere as organized, either: my idea of "checklist" is "scribble some notes on a scrap of paper I will somehow find under my mattress in seven months".

Hey, it's my system, it served me well. tongue

I just realized Applebloom is in the pile of ponies on Big Macintosh. So every time you say he's gettin' bitches you can think about how gross that is.

(but did it stop anyone before?)

Yeah, twillight does remind me of myself, with how nervous I get when it comes to tests and whatnot. Though I have never went insane from worry like she did. Another way she reminds me of myself: How akward I am on these fourms lol.

Anyone looking forward to the halloween episode as much as I am?

I'm looking forward to the return of Luna.

So I watched the new episode. New title sequence was weird, but I think it'll grow on me. It was nice that they included Big Mac, Granny Smith, Derpy and the CMCs.

I kind of agree with Deathonabun; it was pretty over the top, not just Twilight, but Rarity as well. Character-based humour is one of my favourite things about the show, but I prefer it to be a little gentler. Generally I find watching this show really relaxing, but this one was downright hectic and it left me feeling oddly agitated. I enjoyed it, but easily my least favourite season 2 episode so far.

On the bright side, so many expressions begging to be turned into image macros.

Hmm, what else... Spike was incredibly adorable in this one. More Big Macintosh and Derpy is definitely welcome.

Is it bad that I lol'd at "cupcakes"? The meme is old and terrible, but it was the way they said the word out of nowhere like that.

I want to put this here just to avoid drama in the future:

If I allude to Twilight's actions in this episode by saying she looked/acted like a pedophile, don't take it too seriously. I don't find pedophilia funny, or support it. It's just... when she pops out of that balloon, and then tries to bribe some kids with a doll...

I'm gonna check if Ponibooru has a pedobear edit of that scene yet.

I don't think anyone would take that seriously. We all know Twilight isn't supposed to be a paedophile, and she was very creepy in that scene.

This about sums the episode up.

After seeing someone get pissy about a Youtube comment joke of women not liking FIM, I wouldn't be surprised to see people start drama about that.

...This is the point where I'd ordinarily make a snide remark about Youtube comments, but I guess we're hardly above that kind of thing, so fair point.

I think it's kind of funny how Twilight freaked out so badly over a missed deadline but managed to keep a comparatively cool head when confronted with dragons, suspected curses, the transformation of her closest friends into monochrome jerks, etc.

Now that I think about it, Twilight tends to panic mainly about situations involving Celestia, doesn't she?

One day, in school, I had this conversation:

Friend: Jordan, are you a pony fan?
Me: No.
Friend: Well, if you were a pony, I'm kind of wondering what your talent mark would be.
Me: It's cutie mark! And it'd probably be a pencil or something.
Beat
Me: ...not that I know about the show, or anything.

@Bobby: That's another point at which Twilight weirdly reminds me of myself. I've ended up curled up in the fetal position over school deadlines, but then kept a pretty calm and focused demeanor when I had to call 911 because a friend may have been going into anaphylactic shock (she was fine, in the end). It was really weird.

I watched the episode last night, I have to say I really liked Spike in this episode.

And Badass-Masseuse Fluttershy.

I don't really take the sexual jokes seriously ether. I actually find most of them funny. Twillight reminded me of a crazy obessed person rather then a pedo, but I can see how someone might get those vibes from her in this episode.

Oh, and nice avatar Bobby G. Crazy twi FTW.

[up][up]Well, being a masseuse for a bear is badass in itself, I think.

Waaaaait a minute, Harry the bear? The one that Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash housecave-sat for?

The song is very slightly different. I've seen the first season episodes enough to notice the differences.

The biggest difference is Rainbow Dash's "Big Adventures!" line. Sounds completely different.
The main vocal (the one that starts with "My Little Pony, My Little Pony...") is different is well. Personally I prefer the new one.

I think ending it with the Rainboom Nuke and Fishershy really makes that picture.

[up] Naw man, Yukari's been fooling around the whole time.

Also there are other possibilities.

Of course she is. But I wonder if she knows of Celestia's plan of having Twilight an the other Mane's be a part of her harem? Would she be willing to share?

Celestia's is obviously the gayest character in the show. And anyone denying that is fooling themselves. :P

I think the new theme song arrangement is mixed differently. It sounds meatier and punchier.

Thanks! Do you want it?
