The song is very slightly different. I've seen the first season episodes enough to notice the differences.

The biggest difference is Rainbow Dash's "Big Adventures!" line. Sounds completely different.

One of the nice things about this episode was how Twilight realized that Spike is basically her best friend. Poor guy usually gets taken for granted by her.

This episode was pretty meh. You can tell it was mostly used to set up plots of further episodes, without worrying about following the previous formula.

I dunno, I liked it. The first two episodes of the second season have been unimpressive, I think — the ideas were not bad, but everything was much too rushed for my tastes — but this one I found enjoyable.

I dunno if I count as a brony myself — perhaps I do, to a certain degree: I don't obsess over it or anything, but I watch the episodes and read some fanfiction on Equestria Daily when I feel like it.

Sorry about that, I had to blow some steam there. I thought the new episode was hilarious. {{spoiler Twillight's mental breakdown was creepy but funny at the same time. Also, who else jaw dropped at the atomic rainbow and fluttershy looking like she was kicking a bears ass?}}

I also wonder if there will be another 3 part mini story like the gala episodes.
