So would it be a safe assumption to guess the season's probably starting with a two parter about the Crystal Empire?

I'm guessing that the kingdom is falling into disunity and Cadence's magic is the only thing holding it together, but it can't do so forever.

The Crystal Empire thing is probably from the season opener. No idea about the other song though. It doesn't seem to be at all related, but with only two random clips its hard to say if they're from the same ep or not.

Saving a race of ponies from extinction is pretty serious as far as tests go.

The test one is set in Canterlot though, so that's a good sign that they're probably from the same episode. Plus it makes sense that all the reveals at this point would be about the season opener.

Reminding a people of their shared history, traditions and symbols of their unity is a great way to revitalize their culture, I would say.

Also, Jayson Thiessen confirmed to have another Creator Cameo as the voice of the teacher in the Failure Success Song

I certainly don't think so. That's not the kind of thing she would be so flippant about (even in the context of failing), and if the Crystal Kingdom had fallen apart, Spike would definitely have known if she'd failed.
