@Sky: She shares fashion magazines with Rarity? Anyways she isn't poor, because her cottage is clearly quite well-stocked and she has high-quality medical tools and supplies. Good, surgical-steel scapels and such can be expensive, and quality gauze and bandages and painkillers certainly are.

it's more the impression she gave me that those animals were all hers or from the near forest, and "free".

So good news: The dog my family got is socialized, well behaved, plays well with other dogs (and cats), is house trained (extremely well) and is good with kids.

The dog is a Labrador. He doesn't quite quadruple in size but if you leave him alone outside he barks and whines for 10 minutes then goes mopey. He reacts the same way when put to bed at night.

Also on the subject of the comic: I really love Andy Price's art style. But I also know that Art Style is the highest form of YMMV.

Sounds about right based on what I've seen my Brother play.

When I think about Nightmare Moon, I think about how the character didn't really get to strut her stuff.

In fact, I hope to see something about a "Nightmare Moon Strikes Back" storyline. One where NMM comes back, and she makes it clear that she's not going to explain how it happened. She changes her strategy, by bringing out the darkness that exists in everypony. The Mane 6 try using the Elements of Harmony on her, only to find out that she had secretly corrupted them and that she controls them now. She uses them to imprison them in the moon for a 1000 years. It's a good thing Luna is there to break them out much earlier....

Like I said, I'd like to see NMM make a return appearance, and really strut her stuff this time!

Well, Nightmare Moon kinda is Luna (to me anyway, it's a point of contention for a lot of people), so I'd persoanlly rather that not happen.

I see the NMM/Luna situation as if they're 2 ponies sharing one body. NMM was only able to take control after Luna became angry enough at Celestia to let go of her inhibitions about it, and wanted power that badly.

Of course, a lot of people prefer to think that Luna was influenced by some outside force or something.

How does Luna save the Mane Six from herself exactly?

I tend to think that there was an outside force that was attracted to her feelings of anger and resentment. And even when she realized what it was doing, she let it consume her because she wanted power so badly.

That way, she has partial responsibility.

Does that mean that Celestia has a similar deal going on?

Personally I see it as Nightmare Moon is Luna. They are the same entity and there was no evil space miasma that influenced or forced her into it.

Yeah, I tend to take a halfway point on that; I do think that there was some sort of magic or something at play that corrupted Luna and made her more evil than she would have on her own, but at the same time it was Luna's choice to make use of that power so she's still responsible for her actions.
