How was singing nice? She did it grudgingly. It's not like she helped Granny Smith across the street or something. And since she made Fluttershy cry, in my mind she's beyond any sort of redemption.

^^^I was just modeling it on what birds generally do with kicking their young out of the nest, really. =) And Gilda can't be Demoman; I thought somepony else had already been tapped for that crossover slot.
^Now, now. Fluttershy wouldn't consider her beyond redemption, I'm sure. (Must resist plugging fic.)

She could've at least tried to "share" RD. I just think she's too self-centered not to be possessive.

I'll be back later, when the topic won't drive me to become argumentative.

I think Gilda enjoys antagonizing people just for the fun of it. She didn't have to start yelling at Fluttershy. If somebody tried to change her, she would continue in her ways just to troll them.

^One of my pre-readers pointed out that Gryphon culture is made up of predators. Their society likely has a strict power hierarchy, especially if it's similarly arranged to lion prides; Gilda acts the way she does because no one in Ponyville showed themselves to be more powerful than her - either in strength (not likely given her musculature and size) or social power (the 'coolness' she's obsessed with). She respects Dash because she views Dash as better than her at being something that she wants to be - she doesn't understand the idea of being charitable to weaker people, so she doesn't understand the fact that Dash
wants to hang out with ponies who exhibit traits that would be social pariahs if they were gryphons.

^Kind of, yeah. Of course, in my fic she's also lived in Cloudsdale for ten years or so, so she's more ponyfied than most gryphons would be. I figure Dash was a good influence on her, and that she started to get nastier to the ponies in Cloudsdale once Dash left.
(Can't help it.
Shameless plug!

I can see that.
I'm trying to think of other villains with problems. Trixie is irredeemable in show, but fanon has made her the
Woobie.

Trixie is irredeemable? How?
They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.
Were can I see a full fourean dup?
A lot of Trixie fanon makes her seem like she's trying to be great and powerful because she's failed too much or something like that. Plus, art like in my avatar does make her seem rather
woobie-esque. I'm never able to judge which characters are Large Hams, so not too sure about that one.

There was some actor in the 18th century named Coates or something like that. He played Romeo, and improvised a lot, like bringing a crowbar onstage to pry open Juliette's tomb. People flocked to theatres to see if he was really as bad as they had heard.
Trixie could totally pull this off. Maybe she gets brought back in another episode where the mane cast go to Canterlot and see her perform on the Broadway equivalent?
