I like this one myself, I've actually read the fanfic the lyrics are based on.

Also, the youtube code for that is apparently "DooCHI4T2SU". Octavia isn't Pinkie's sister, she's Ditzy's! It all makes sense now!...I think...

I actually already have Progress and The Vinyl Scratch Tapes on standby.

Every time I think of fanfiction I think of a very stupid point of my childhood and can't help look at other ficcers and see a young dumb me so I've been.. apprehensive of them for a long time.

You should believe in human potential. Seriously, try those out, they are awesome-tastic. Code Geass: Lelouch of Britannia is very nice too.

Don't need to watch Geass to appreciate this story, it reads more like a Tom Clancy novel. The tone is radically different: far less melodrama (save the beginning, but dead parents

are Serious Business), much more intelligence and military strategy, tactics and logistics.

I physically can't read fanfiction. I don't know why, I guess it's because I don't like reading the work of amateurs, not because I think it's going to be bad, but because I'm afraid it's going to good. It makes me feel bad. I don't have the skill and imagination that these fans have, and I never will. Makes me feel that I'm unworthy of being a part of this fandom

That and I'm afraid that I'll prefer the fanfiction over the actual canon of the show, which is pretty much what I dread the most

I really can't stand it. Like, to the point where I loathe fanfiction in general. I have nothing against people who enjoy it, but it's a culture that I will NEVER be a part of

I have problem with fanstuff because of many bad aspect (fanwank, mary sue) hapen in those what I encountered, horever I'm better now, I even play fan mods and fancampain for my games and I'm thinking about read fanfics again.

So MLPFIM FF are good place to start with that.

They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.

Again: It's not the bad stuff about fanfiction that I dislike, it's the good stuff.

I have friends in college who physically can't watch Harry Potter or play Kingdom Hearts because they infinitely prefer the fanfiction. I NEVER want to become like that.

I meant MLP: FIM, Pacific it should've been obvious considering the thread we're in. If I wanted anything else I would've gone to a different thread. Common sense, logic, etc, etc, you should've figured this out it's not rocket science etc, etc.

Despite that it might derail the thread a little bit, the fanfic in question is Black & White

. Its an Octavia/Lyra fic. Your Milage May Vary, but I liked it.

Now, where were we? Oh yeah, Luna. The Nightmare Before Christmas shout outs. Given this show's love of homages, if there's not at least a shot of Luna on a spiral hill, I'll be slightly disappointed.

I don't read fanfiction, either. I'd rather see that impulse channeled into more original works inspired by MLP or whatever it may be. (Although obviously you're welcome to write whatever you like.)
