True but she's also notable for having ridiculous voicces that change with every appearence. She's had what, 5 different voices now? She talks more than Lyra and Carrot Top put together.

Golden "Carrot Top" Harvest's voice has been heard in "Boast Busters" ("Well, I never!"), "Swarm of the Century" ("We couldn't fit it all in..."), "Green Isn't Your Color" ("Get her off the stage!"), "Luna Eclipsed" (screaming), and "A Friend in Deed" ("Huh?").

I will agree though that in terms of fanon, my interest in Bon Bon is really only because of her relationship with Lyra.

Background ponies in general have varying voices; Bon Bon being remembered for a general background pony trait kinda shows how little individual fanon she has. (Like if there was a background pony who was remembered for appearing multiple times in crowds)

I think Bonbon might be more noticeable because the voice in Call of the Cutie was particularly ridiculous.

I really wish Bon Bon had more than just "Lyra's friend/lover". I like her design more than Lyra's.

Golden Harvest probably takes precedence because she already has a toy and a name. I'm kind of curious what kind of name they'd give Bon Bon, actually.

was one of the seven main characters of My Little Pony Tales.

So really you could apply that character to her. Loves sweets and baking... maybe wanted to be a model at some point?

That's why I was asking what kind of name they'd give her. I was pretty sure they couldn't call her Bon Bon.

Can you lose the copyright to a name like Bon Bon though? It's already the name of a type of candy, so can you actually trademark that?

Using trademark and copyright interchangeably because I don't know the difference.

@stevebat: Keep in mind that whatever pony panels they'll have are most definitely going to be over capacity with just the pre-panel waiting lines. Youmacon staff GROSSLY underestimated the sheer size of the fandom and failed to accomodate at least an hour in advance for BOTH panels they had.

If they're trademarking all these new names that they're using on the trading cards (like "Mayor Mare" and "Time Turner" but probably not "Carrot Top" since that's only a nickname mentioned in the description), then couldn't some trademark database be searched to see what names are potentially on the set's remaining unknown cards?
