I can see how shipping could make the fanbase unbearable, but how the heck does it ruin the show? Did the writers just focus too much on Ship Tease to the detriment of everything else or something?

I'm with Ginger on this one. This in-show romance in Korra was so forced it felt like shipping moreso than actual romance. It was just... bluh.

The only ship-teases we have had so far is Cherilee-Mac which is an In Universe Ship Tease. Designed to specifically screw with the CMC. and Flutter-Dash which we don't even know if the ship-tease is intentional.

But then again. The entire reason MLP:FIM was written in the first place was because Lauren was sick and tired of so called "GIRLZ SHOWZ". So romance is actually down a significant amount.
