The only console I had as a child was this ancient thing that I'm pretty sure was older than me and only played two games. One was a set of variations of Pong and the other was Reversi (though they weren't called that).

I've seen little kids saying disturbing things. Amusement but mainly horror and confusion ensues.

Cya Drenius.

I'm a portable gamer and master of the Gameboy Generation. Bomberman, Mario Kart, Pokemon, I was one of the most awesome multiplayer gamers in my old gameshop hangout back in the day. Fond memories of learning Tetris techniques and becoming better than my mother and aunt come to mind.

And yes, Kids Say the Darndest Things indeed [lol]

I'm watching the Angry Videogame Nerd's review of Battletoads. It's awesome.

Why have an attack like that in a game where you can harm the other player!?
[lol]

I remember playing Pokemon Blue after my cousin gave it to my sister then to me when she got Silver. And I didn't really like it much.

The first consoles I owned as a kid were an Atari 2600 and an Odyssey 2. Plenty of games for both.

Though the Nintendo Entertainment System was the first console where I took gaming seriously and the Super Nintendo was where gaming became one of my primary hobbies. Mega Man X, Final Fantasy VI, Soul Blazer, Actraiser... so many classics, so little time.

Man, kids today think the latest Call of Duty or whatever is gaming. No, man, the 16-Bit days, those were gaming.

Bye Drenius

As for video games of my Childhood, some of my earlier games were Pokémon Gold, Pokemon Stadium 2, Yoshi's Story, Paper Mario, Super Smash Bros., and Hey You, Pikachu!.

Oh and Pokemon Puzzle League. Our whole family still plays that on occasion

AH! Pokémon Snap, too.

In my house, it's my stepdad liking CoD and me, the 16 year old, absolutely hating it. XD

My childhood was things like Mystaria The Realms of Lore, Pokemon Red and Pokemon Snap maybe. Basically a ton of Saturn and N64 Games. Back then I was a generation or two behind since then I could get games really cheaply.

My first computer was an Apple II. (Well, technically it wasn't my computer, but it was the first kind I used relatively often.)

Anyone else remember 5.25" floppies?

Can you tell me who you are? Can you tell me where I am?
I've forgotten how to see. I've forgotten if I can.

The first shooter I've ever played and gotten into was Team Fortress 2. Sue me.

[up][up] You didn't have a childhood Miss Cheerilee?

I have a Dreamcast I need to bring home from my grandma's some day. Now that system was kick-ass.

@Kyler: Remember the days you could see the POST test slowly test the RAM kilobyte by kilobyte? [lol] There was a 1980s 286 in the SCDF Personnel Department that held the ancient records of older servicemen that we painstakingly migrated into modern systems [lol] Nowadays we have mobile devices that could trounce an 80s CRAY-1 at chess.

@Cheerilee: Has there been any excitement in Ponyville lately we haven't seen yet? Also, what sort of games did you play?

Excitement in Equestria? I thought I saw a UFO the other day, but it was probably just Rainbow Dash practicing a new move.

It's kind of funny that Minesweeper is on every version of windows and as far as I know it hasn't been updated at all.
