Ginger: There are people who believe that, but I'm of the opinion that there are multiple candidates for every element in every town and that a lot of ponies are actually candadites for bearing more than oneelement (including Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, not sure about the others),

@Sereg I don't think there are only 6 ponies in the world with the necessary virtues at any given time, but I don't think they're quite as plentiful as you think eihter.
I think Tia found the 6 who'd be the easiest to gather in one place

imo, it's the bond and the friendship between the bearers that matters more then how close they are to there element, though they do have to have a strong connection to it as well.
doubt it, to much Xanatos Roulette that Twi would meet EXACTLY the right ponies in one day and that they'd bond with her.

I don't think Pinkie would be that good at Kindness, it's a byproduct of her antics often but she's not specifically very kind looking at Luna Eclipsed and A Friend In Deed.
