Their writing styles are identical! I knew who Surprise was the second she appeared!
I would have never guessed from the writing style, but Moe openly talks about it. Sort of like with Sereg and Star Swirl or to a lesser extent, Rich and Pipsqueak.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
My name is Ian, right? Most people assume it's spelled with an E since it's pronounced EE-an
Wait, there are really people who've never heard the name Ian before?

Arguably, the Elements are the users, and the shiny jewelry acts more like a focus than a power source.
I took a guess and cut a portion out of my heart
He said, "That's nowhere close enough, but it's a damn good start"
@Apple I thought maybe the power of the elements flows through their bodies an becomes amplified by their virtue and harmony. It'd be exhaustive to have vast power forcing it's way through your body, I reckon

Meeeeeeeeeeh. I dunno. I prefer to think of them as keys rather than the ACTUAL elements themselves. That's just how I see it though

The jewelry is the gun, and the users are the ammo?
Tealove is best pony.
Ask The Mane Six
The story is wailing me across the head with antagonists that I'm not allowed to hate. Gray and Grey Morality is KILLING me here. I just want A villain who's just pure black but still competent.
Funny you should say that immediately after someone mentions
Heavy Rain.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
I lean towards the Mane Six being the elements, but I don't really care one way or the other.

@Apple I'd say that the elements are the gun AND the ammo, but the users are the loading mechanism and trigger

Or colin and Orion?
That's not the same at all.

I'm on the "elements act as foci for the bearers power" side of the fence. But since it's mostly left to each person's interpretation, both views are equally valid.

Journalism is just a gun. It's only got one bullet in it, but if you aim right, that's all you need.
I just think of the Elements similarly to the Master Sword, it/they help(s) the chosen one(s) discover their fate while increasing their power. Also, the lack of the Elements in the S2 finale reminds me of two areas in the Legend of Zelda series where the Master Sword is taken away from you. Are they planning something? "We don't need the Elements, because their power is within us!"

Actually, I think the jewelry itself is just a focus too, and that if they tried hard enough they wouldn't need it.
What I believe though is that the elements themselves are inside the mane cast. Like a symbiote. It's not THEM, it's something foreign innside them existing in a mutually beneficial relationship with the bearers

Sure it is. Orion seems rather open about colin being his sock.
No it isn't. Orion is more like an actual poster here. The cases I mentioned are where te owners openly discuss their sockpuppets but they're still just sockpuppets.

@Kyler The virtues of course. Like the elements feed on their harmony.
It's like a perpetual feedback thing

A vehicle to express themselves, maybe?

I still think the elements are strengthened by harmony and the virtue of their hosts.

My own ideal is that the Bearers must possess the quality of their Element, and that if you have a sufficiently bonded group of friends, they can take up the Elements and use them.
