Speaking of, I must go now! Trying to get an early night, because the Montreal IGDA(International Game Developers Association) is having a summer social tomorrow, so I'm hoping to hop in and schmooze around, establish myself in the local culture. Lots to do to prepare tomorrow, and I need as much sleep as possible to be in as good a mood as possible.

I mean, I'm sure my story is good. I just can't shake the feeling that the fact there is just a fluke. I've never been a competent writer, and I wrote a fic more or less for the hell of it and to get an idea out of my head. I don't deserve recognition when people are putting much more effort/better work into their writing and don't get nearly as much attention.

Todd in the Shadow's called Justin Bieber's voice a Staccato voice. How was I supposed to know any better?

From the Eenie Meenie review? If so, the term was "castrato, " which refers to singer who was castrated prior to puberty so as to keep the high treble voice. The practice is long-since dead. If this was something else and he said "staccato voice, " then unless Bieber has been doing patter songs Todd is very much mistaken.
