@CDRW: Maybe it's a general kind of magic energy that the user can tweak to have different properties.
@ginger: Him who? You're going to need to be more specific.
@Crow Lionheart

I'm always interested in member of hive, collective or anything similar you got separated from those and slowly become individual. I loved this in Star Trek. Also she is expy of Super Mutants in player team, who are my favorite companions.
@ginger And just because someone is villain it's not make me interested.
And Stygnus (or what name of that batpony) is only interesting because in my headcanon he is pony Barney Stinson and try to sleep with all mares pretending to be mute.

Lionheart was awesome, I could see him more.

Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.
I'd actually be MORE interested in Lancuane if she DIDN'T have ANY personality or individuality.
It works like this for me:
- No Personality: Interesting
- Lots of Personality: Interesting
- A little personality:Not interesting

I couldn't STAND Lionheart.

@Crow
... he doesn't have the RCV, does he?
and yes, but I need a villain as an anchor. I can't read the story JUST for Blackjack and co.
Hence why I'm praying I'll like Steel Rain

Pfff I prefer my headcanon where he pretend to me mute as dating tactic or maybe because of challenge.
@ ginger Lancuane don't have that little personality.

That's how Stronghooves look like, with tiny horn instead wings.

@Death Well, I haven't noticed much of her personality. Then again, I didn't like Rampage at first either. Maybe she gets REALLY interesting later on.
I think I also dislike the fact that she's SPECIAL.

Every Fallout character is SPECIAL
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.
The party consists of an immortal with multiple personalities, a cyborg, and Rainbow Dash. Lancuane isn't really that special.
I just... I get the impression that if she didn't have a strong personality of her own, and if she were a completely ordinary alicorn, then I'd like her a lot better
![[up] [up]](https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/smiles/arrow_up.png)
Compared to ordinary alicorns. Forget it, my mind works weirdly

As I said, she's in this weird void for me where she has too much personality to be interesting as a representative of a hive mind like race, but too little to be interesting as a character beyond that gimmick.
and again, the fact that she's special also skewers the fact that she's from a hive mind

I don't know if I'd consider being an emotional garbage dump to be special, but okay.
sigh... what I mean is. Right from the off she's not like other Alicorns. She's unique.
If I was writing this story, I'd have her be a completely ordinary alicorn chosen arbitrarily by the Goddess to go into Hoofington (since as she explained, the pain of one alicorn in Hoofington is manageable) . When we first see her she's EXACTLY like ANY other Alicorn, but as she travels with BJ and co, and as the area of Hoofington takes it toll on her, she slowly grows more and more apart from the goddess and begins to show hints of her true personality.
As things stand, she STARTED off with too much personality.
Ah, but what the fuck do I know?

She was separated from Unity before joining BJ. So it work to me.
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.
Which is EXACTLY my problem, Death!

Whatever, she is my Anchor in this.
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.
@Crow but as she stands her presense means nothing. Nothing.
It's a bit like the problem I had with Zuko. A redemption story ISN'T interesting if the redempee is already well on his way to redemption before the story even starts.
Same here. A "growing individuality and personalized sense of self" story isn't interesting if the character is already well on her way down that road from the beginning

Zuko was for me more interesting than any other Fire Nationalist (excetp Iroh).
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.
