@Crow It honestly wouldn't surprise me in the least. This fic has a habit of pulling 180s in the span of a sentence.
One second a filly is being hugged by one of the mane characters, the next said mane character is snapping the filly in half. (actualy events from the story btw)
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
It's true that Rainbow Dash has a big, obnoxious ego, but before "The Mysterious Mare Do Well", the other ponies were able to tolerate it.
Unfortunately, "TMMDW" had RD turn into an
Attention Whore, I mean Horse, and got hit by
Acquired Situational Narcissism like a well-aimed brick. I'd say that her ego was intolerable that time around because she put herself before everypony else, even when their lives were in danger and some cases were caused by her showboating.
I admit, RD's friends talking about MMDW right in front of her looked like a
Jerkass move, but I think they wanted to see how she would react and they wanted to know if her ego had gone down a notch. Did you see the dismayed looks on their faces when it became clear that RD was not taking it as well as they thought? Clearly, they had made a mistake, and isn't the show about ponies making mistakes and learning from them?
Oh, Lauren Faust, we stand on guard for thee!

@crow: One of the characters has some split personality thing going on, and when they see a filly suffering one of the personalities takes over and tries to "save" it. Save meaning horrifically murder.
Yup. Rampage has about, 7... 8... 9 personalities in her head. One is Twist, and another is a serial killer

@ pannic, so what, obviously people love it, a lot of people, if you don't like it, so what it's what YMMV is for, nothing is liked by everyone. but you come off as unable to understand how ANYONE could possibly like it.
Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.
My random thoughts
Ginger: Sounds like a... cool mare... yea... a cool mare. *Slowly backs away from the murderous psychopathic mare*
She is genuinely nice most of the time. (especially to kids)
but if one of them gets depressed you just need to keep shooting her in the head until the child can be moved out of there

Probably the mayor. That or they just happened to be passing through.
The mayor should have one of those red phones like in the
Powerpuff Girls.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
I would think shooting her in the head once would be sufficient.
Element of Dullness.
@Blue She's immortal and can regenerate from any injury

Seraphem: Sounds more to me like he's frustrated by the double standard of fans claiming it's good enough to in its current state, stand up to published literature, but then come criticism: hey, it's a just a fanfic, so it should be cut some slack.
@JT Rampage from Project Horizons, it seems.
Because apparently dragons have to be named after spices. *grumbles about how stupid the name "Basil" is*
So that's where the name Spike came from.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
She's also got a red-and-white zebra, a doctor, a police officer, and a grandfather inside of her.
Tick Tock, goes the clock/ He cradled and he rocked her/ Tick Tock, goes the clock/Till River kills the Doctor.
@Librarian Hmm, haven't met all of them yet. I know I've seen the Zebra and the police officer, but not any of the others.
Does her Teddy Bear cutie mark belong to anyone in particular?

Wait, why is Basil a stupid name? I actually like the idea of dragons having spice names.
I analyze "Geek Culture" here.
When All Else Fails, worry, that's the 14 way.
*has no idea what's going on*
